Career pressures result in Nathan and Haley making a difficult choice for their family. Meanwhile, Brooke is not pleased when Julian tells Alex a secret; Clay tries to get his career back; and Millicent finds a surprising ally in Victoria.

Brooke gets some shocking news that threatens her relationship with Julian. Meanwhile, Nathan finds out that Dan’s back in town as he prepares to sign a new NBA contract; Millicent heads for a big fall; and Haley returns to the stage. Sophia Bush directed the episode.

Julian agrees to a weekend camping trip but struggles to fit in with Nathan and the guys. Back in Tree Hill, Brooke and Haley spend Girl’s Night doing a little bonding of their own, and Quinn helps Clay come to terms with a tragic loss. Meanwhile, Dan and Rachel’s past catches up to them.

James Lafferty directs this Mark Schwahn written episode. Nathan and Haley are dealing with the fact that Dan has invited Renee onto his show, where she will undoubtedly air out the young Scotts’ dirty laundry. Quinn contemplates where her marriage with David went wrong, while Brooke has to admit to Julian what her future plans and dreams are. Clay’s must deal with his past when Sara comes to town.

Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) considers taking matters into her own hands as Nathan’s (James Lafferty) scandal threatens his endorsement deals. Julian (Austin Nichols) gives Alex (guest star Jana Kramer) another chance, and Brooke (Sophia Bush) reconnects with Chase (guest star Stephen Colletti). Millicent (Lisa Goldstein) questions whether she has what it takes to be a model. Meanwhile, Clay (Robert Buckley) lets Quinn (Shantel VanSanten) in on a big secret.

Haley is thrust into the spotlight and storm of Nathan’s growing scandal. Against her better judgement, Brooke allows Julian to continue to working with Alex. Millicent gets a new job, which may cause trouble for Mouth. Meanwhile, Clayton and Quinn grow closer. This episode is named after a song by Hank Williams.

Nathan’s life begins to unravel as the scandal goes public; Haley encourages Quinn to talk to David, her estranged husband; Mouth makes a career-threatening decision.

It’s time for a funeral for one of theirs, and Nathan comes home for the funeral. Dan shows up to pay his respects, while Nathan, Haley and Jamie pay respect to another grave that lies there. Quinn wants to have fun at Tric, and meet a new guy. Mouth gets another job offer, this time located in New York, while Julian gets hit by a model.
